This Sauvignon Blanc & Semillon comes from the Pestoni vineyard in Rutherford. Alluvium-gravel, Rutherford bench soils are also planted with some Sauvignon Blanc Musque (an aromatic clone) and 317 Clone (lean acidity clone for structure) with an average age of 20 years.
Taub Family Vineyards - Heritance Sauvignon Blanc is tropical fruit driven and stainless steel fermented. The 8% Semillon in the blend is in neutral oak for four months which gives it complexity and richness.
This wine reflects the ripe fruit profile of Napa Valley fruit with tropical fruit such as pineapple along with citrus and floral hints which lead to a palate of melon and pear, firm acidity and a smooth lingering finish.
